Founded in 1952, Millwork of Idaho began and eventually became a third-generation shop in St. Anthony.
In 2000, Zachary Petterson launched his artisan furniture and millwork collection.
In 2020, Zac acquired Millwork of Idaho. Reimagining the factory, he retooled as Timber Hardwood Flooring & Millwork, and continued his journey producing high end custom wood flooring and millwork projects for architectural and interior design firms, as well as custom home builders.

Principal
Zachary “Zac” Petterson brings more than 26 years of experience crafting exceptional millwork and flooring for luxury homes across Western mountain resort communities. He has built lasting partnerships with architects, designers, and builders who rely on his steady, solutions-focused approach for complex custom projects. Known for his responsiveness, accountability, and respect for design intent, Zac continues his relationship-first philosophy at Timber, delivering refined, design-driven solutions for the next generation of custom homes.
Lawrence Nielsen
Lead Estimator
Lawrence Nielsen brings over 40 years of millwork experience; expertise in wood species and material performance. He was raised in his family’s business founded in 1946, Millwork of Idaho. He later led the company, upholding its legacy of quality and integrity until 2020. Known as a true “woodhound,” Lawrence excels at sourcing rare materials for custom projects. As Lead Estimator, he guides teams on budgeting, selection, and logistics, making him a trusted resource at Timber Hardwood Flooring and Millwork.

Ethan Arnold helps ensure every interaction with Timber is clear, responsive, and thoughtfully managed. Working closely with architects, interior designers, and builders, he coordinates communication, proposals, and project details so teams can move forward with clarity and confidence. Cesar Munoz
Molder Specialist
Cesar Munoz brings a disciplined, efficiency-driven approach to Timber Hardwood Flooring and Millwork’s production team. Though newer to millwork, his strong background in machinery and equipment operation translates into precise hardwood fabrication. He is meticulous with molder setup and profile calibration, ensuring consistent tolerances on complex custom projects. In a short time, Cesar has become a highly skilled operator, elevating production quality through his commitment to precision and performance.
Juan Carlos
Warehouse Manager | Production Support Specialist
Juan Carlos receives the natural wood at Timber Hardwood Flooring and Millwork. He ensures the integrity of materials from unloading through production. He maintains careful organization across thousands of board feet of wood. With an eye for quality material, each board is inspected and evaluated for correct specifications before fabrication. He also manages kiln operations, monitoring moisture content to properly condition materials for Rocky Mountain climates, supporting long-term performance and durability.

Rigoberto brings specialized craftsmanship to Timber Hardwood Flooring and Millwork, with experience in a high-end custom fabrication. As Custom Finishing Manager at Timber Hardwood Flooring and Millwork, he oversees stain development, color consistency, and final surface treatments for flooring, siding, and trim. Highly skilled in precision stain matching, he ensures seamless integration across materials.
